When it comes to online content, newspapers and magazine publishers have been complaining for years that consumers won’t pay for it. They want it free. But a new report from Boston Consulting Group disagrees with that point of view, indicating that consumers will pay for content.

If the perceived value vs cost is dramatically apparent to users, long term incremental revenue is a likely result.

A post on Biz Report indicates that US and Australian consumers will pay upwards of $3 per month for content and up to $7 per month in Italy.
