NY Times – E-Mail Still Rules When It Comes To Sharing

    A study commissioned by The New York Times identifies six types of users among its heavy sharers of content — including  those who share job-related news, those who share on behalf of a cause and those who forward links to stimulate controversy and discussion. The study found that e-mail is the preferred way of sharing content, because of the intimacy of the one-to-one connection, and because of the privacy the medium offers.
